As the demand of airbourne travel increases, the management of SkyEyes Airlines has decided and planned to introduce the passenger services. As planned, we will establish routes that will be truly alternatives for passengers. The passenger flights of SkyEyes Airlines will take-off in 2011.
SkyEyes Airlines to launch passenger service:
Kanchanaburi (Thailand) - Dawei (Tavoy, Myanmar)


SkyEyes Airlines will launch air passenger service between Kanchanaburi (Thailand) and Dawei (Tavoy) Mayanmar, to sever both growing trade and business of the Gateway Deep-Sea Port and Land Bridge Project of Dawei, which is the biggest of its kind in the region.
SkyEyes Airlines in partner with MM Trading by Mr. Lucky Aung from Myanmar sees that this route of air service will definitely be in strong demand in construction phases of the Dawei Project and demands will be increased after part of the project is in operation.

The service will be served with 34 seats SAAB 340. Inaugurated flight, as planned, to be launched in July this year.

Dr. Singh Tangcharoenchaichana, the President of Kanchanaburi Province chamber of commerce discloses that currently the province has set up 3 committees to embrace for Dawei Project, these 3 committees are:
  1. Committee of Border Trade Promotion
  2. Committee of Border Land Utilization
  3. Committee of Air Transportation Development, to develop the Surasi 9th Army Infantry Camp to be commercial airport for cargo and passenger services in 3 planned routes:
    • China-Chieng Mai-Kanchanaburi-Dawei
    • Dawei-Kanchanaburi-Vietnam
    • Dawei-Kanchanaburi-Hadyai-Singapore
The 3 committees will fully exercise by the end of this year (2010) in which to see billion baths of trade figures as the opening of Ban Nam Phu Ron border and the figure will be higher.

Dr. Singh says Dawei Deep Sea Port is the project of Thailand and Myanmar collaboration to facilitate transportation for the 2 countries to link with Europe, Africa, Middle-East, South-Asia and Andaman.

There are 3 phases of Dawei project, first phase is to build Kanchanaburi-Dawei 160 km highway to be completed in 4 years from Ban Nam Phu Ron, Kanchanaburi to Dawei Deep Sea Port, the second phase is to build the Dawei Deep Sea Port itself, third phase is the development of Industrial Estate.The project is biggest of its kind in the region with investment of 400 billion Bahts.
